Wait Until Process is done

I have a GWT-RPC DataSource that adds data to the backend perfectly. It works great. The code to refresh a listgrid works great. I can see it being called, and I know I am getting data back perfectly.

So, here is my little issue … When I am done passing my data to the GWT-RPC DataSource for adding data … it can be a little slow. The Front-End call is very fast and calls the refresh to another grid quickly, but only displays part of my data because the backend hasn’t finished yet. If I hit my refresh button, it works great, and I see all my data.

So, my question is … how do I make the front-end wait until the back-end work is done???

My first thought is when I call the grid.addData(record) to make it return a value … that way, the back-end should be done?

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Never Mind!

if I do the grid.Adddata(record, new DSCallback{}));
Then once the operation is complete, then it calls my grid refreshmethod fine.

I might actually learn how this works someday.
What can I say, I’m slow …
