Unfrozen pane shifts when starting editing

Issue: When editing a record in a ListGrid with frozen columns, the unfrozen pane shifts when starting editing. Is there a way to keep the unfrozen pane position?

SmartClient: v8.1 online demo
Browser: IE 9
URL:http://www.smartclient.com/#simpleFreeze
How to reproduce:

Step1: Add canEdit:true, to the javascript:

isc.ListGrid.create({
ID: “supplyList”,
width:500, height:224,
dataSource: supplyItem,
canEdit: true,
autoFetchData: true,
fields:[
{name:“itemName”, frozen:true, width:150},
{name:“category”, width:100},
{name:“SKU”, width:100},
{name:“units”, width:80},
{name:“description”, width:250}
]
})

Step 2: Click “Try It”
Step 3: Move the horizontal scrollbar to right
Step 4: Double click first column to start editing
Step 5: You will see the horizon scrollbar is shifting.

Whatever cell has keyboard focus has to be entirely visible, so this will cause scrolling.

Is there a way to keep the original position?

It’s a fundamental assumption of browsers that the focused field must be in view. You can startEditing() any cell that is already fully in view without causing any scrolling.

Scroll to right.
Double click a cell of first column which is fully in view.
The right side pane still shifts.

We see the problem, and it’s been scheduled to be looked at.

Hi Isomorphic,

Will this issue be fixed soon?

Hi Isomorphic,

Can you please update the status of this issue?

Is there a way to get the scrollbar information and first row that is in view then to restore them?

Thanks,
