TextItem style changes on focus in SmartGWT

I set the title style of a TextItem to the following:
.ups-column-label {
color: White;
font-family: sans-serif, Arial;
font-size: 14px;
font-weight: bold;
background-color: #386890;
padding: 3 3 2 3;
}

using setTitleStyle( “ups-column-label” ). This works fine until the TextItem gets focus. Then the color and font changes back to defaults. Why doesn’t the style stick when focus is set? How do I fix it?

Instead of trying to apply a style manually, there’s a showFocusedStyle setting that causes the suffix “Focus” to be appended to the baseStyle - see the docs.

What docs are you referring to? I couldn’t find what you’re talking about in the SmartGwt quick start doc nor in the API javadocs. Can you provide a link to what you’re talking about?
