I have override the ListGrid’s canEditCell() to make certain fields in my grid uneditable and have added a CellClickHandler to my grid to prevent users from enable uneditable fields though clicking. This works fine.
The problem I am having is that if the user tabs through the cells of the grid the uneditable fields gets enable for editing and user can enter text; how can I prevent this?
If your override of canEditCell() is correct, users can’t edit that field by clicking (no need to implement a CellClickHandler to prevent this) and can’t enter the field by tabbing. So this suggests that your canEditCell() override is actually returning the wrong values - try adding logging to see the return values as you navigate the grid.
