I am trying to select a skin to customize for a new project.
Using VisualBuilder, I could apply the following skins to a base design:
- Enterprise
- Enterprise Blue
- Graphite
- Simplicity
- Fleet
- TreeFrog
- SilverWare
- BlackOps
However, VisualBuilder also offers the following selections:
I could not find these skins in any of the JAR files that came with the SmartGWT-EE 2011-10-24 nightly build. Are these skins obsolete now?
Also, the SmartGWT showcase offers a selection called “Enterprise Gray”. Is this the same skin that is called “Enterprise” in VisualBuilder?

These skins are obsolete and will be removed from the selector in the near future
Thanks

I see. Two more questions about this:
- Is there a reason why the Mobility skin does not show up in the selector?
- Is there a reason why some of the available skins are not presented in the public showcase?

The Mobile skin is intended for apps optimized for viewing on mobile devices (so is lighter weight / has less media, etc). This skin does not skin all components so is not included in the switcher by default. Note that if you have the skin resources loaded, you can specify a skin by hand via the “skin=…” parameter on the URL.
On your other question, no particular reason why the showcase doesn’t show every skin. Including multiple skins is intended as a demonstration of the skinning subsystem, but it not intended to be necessarily comprehensive.
Thank you for explaining.
