SmartGWT 2.5: Bug in form with required fields

I have a DataSource attached to my DynamicForm. I have several required fields set in the DataSource, or which, two are Boolean which render as checkboxes in the form. I then want to create a new record to add to the DataSource and, therefore, my underlying database. I do DynamicForm.editNewRecord(). That blanks out all of my fields in the form so that the user can type in record values. Apparently, the form is watching for user interaction with each of the required fields to flag them as edited or not. Since the boolean fields are checkboxes AND are marked as required, the user should NOT have to edit them since they are always either true or false. So even though the user has not edited the checkboxes, the form is complaining that these fields are required when I run the DynamicForm.validate() method. The user has to check the box and then uncheck the box just to make the form think the field now has a value and not complain about a missing required field.

I propose that required boolean fields skip the validation check if they are rendered as checkboxes AND that they always be sent through as parameters to the underlying RestDataSource.

The behavior you describe is by design, use defaultValue:false to get the behavior you want.
