SelectItem with SetMultiple(true)

Hello:

I’m using SmartGWT 2.1 with GWT 2.0.3 and have run into a problem with the SelectItem. When I set it use multiples and populate it via a value map it does not work correctly. When I select one of the values the SelectItem field is actually populated with the id instead of the description.

Please see the picture attached for a visual of what I’m referring to.

Here’s the code I’m using to create and populate the field:

_catBox = new SelectItem();
_catBox.setTitle("Categories");
_catBox.setWidth(360);
_catBox.setColSpan(3);
_catBox.setMultiple(true);
_catBox.setHeight(65);

.....

_catBox.setValueMap(catMap);
_catBox.setDefaultValue("0");

Thanks!

Chris

Okay a point of clarification:

When I select only ONE item the SelectItem works perfectly (i.e. shows the description rather than the id for the item). But selecting more than one then it behaves as I’ve described above (see screenshot).

Any updates on this? I’ve tried a bunch of things to fix it and nothing seems to work. If its a valid bug then please let me know if there is a workaround.

Thanks.

As mentioned in the FAQ, please post a minimal standalone testcase.
