Queries on 'Nested filter' for smartgwt listgrid

Hi,

I wanted to use the Nested filter of smartgwt as follows

but instead of having just 1 drop down as the criteria, I want to have 3 drop downs (DD) in the criteria which will be dependent. That is, on selection from 1st DD i populate the 2nd DD and on selection from 2nd DD i populate 3rd DD and then select a value such as ‘contains’ or ‘equals’ etc, and then show the last field to put or select value from.

How can i implement this? Also how does the filtering work and apply on all the rows in the listgrid below?

You can use FilterBuilder.fieldDataSource to provide a single long list of fields, which provides ComboBoxItem-style search, and which could be organized into a tree if you return the tree indent level as a property of the records for the fieldDataSource and provide a CellFormatter via pickListFields that writes out the indent as an HTML spacer.

There’s no way to expand out to 3 dependent fields instead. If you need that, build a new component.
