Prototype and Smart Client collision

Hi,

We have a collision between Prototype.js 1.7 and SmartClient 8.0. In this function:

function getSelectedRadio(myObject)
{
if(!myObject)
{
return null;
}
var checked = $(myObject).getInputs(‘radio’, ‘VALUE_RADIO’).find(
function(re)
{
return re.checked;
}
);
return checked;
}

the call to “find” leads to:
,isc.A.find=function isc_Arra_find(_1,_2,_3){var _4=this.findIndex(_1,_2,_3);return(_4!=-1)?this.get(_4):null}
instead of Enumerable find prototype function.

Our page header looks like :

<script type=“text/javascript” src=“themes/default/prototype.js”> </script>
<script type=“text/javascript” src=“themes/default/scriptaculous.js?load=effects,dragdrop”> </script>
<script type=“text/javascript” src=“themes/default/scripts.js”> </script>
<script>window.isc_useSimpleNames = false; </script>
<script>var isomorphicDir=“themes/default/isomorphic/”; </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/system/modules/ISC_Core.js”> </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/system/modules/ISC_Foundation.js”> </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/system/modules/ISC_Containers.js”> </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/system/modules/ISC_Grids.js”> </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/system/modules/ISC_Forms.js”> </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/system/modules/ISC_DataBinding.js”> </script>
<script src=“themes/default/isomorphic/skins/Cast/load_skin.js”> </script>

Is there a way to avoid this collision ?

Regards

Thanks for pointing this out. We’ve augmented our Array.find and findAll methods to support Prototype’s method signature in addition to our own. This will be in the next nightly build (http://smartclient.com/builds).

Thanks for being so reactive…
