List grid menu translations

Hello,

I’m using a ListGrid. Each column has a menu with different options: sorting, automatic wdth, etc.

I have to translate all these menu labels in dutch. I found setter methods for most of them: setSortFieldAscendingText, setSortFieldDescendingText, setAutoFitFieldText, etc.

But I don’t find setter methods for the “group by” submenus: “By Day”, “By Week”, “By Month”, “by Quarter”, etc.

Am I wrong or the API doesn’t provide these setter methods ?

How can I set these translated values ? Cause this is really problematic for us.

Take a look at the GroupingMessages docs, attributes like byDayTitle, etc -these are the values you’re interested in - however, we’ve also fixed a bug in this area today, so please retest with a nightly build after today.

I checked but I didn’t find any documentation.

I found a SmartGwtMessages interface and a I18nUtil class.

Can I do something with these two things ?

I downloaded the version 3.0 of smartgwt but I don’t see any method to set these “By Day”, etc. values.

Any help please ?

I did the following tests:

==> Not working

  • Then I saw that the smartgwt jar contains a NL .properties file…
    So, I just did this from my code: “I18nUtil.init();”

==> Not working.

I definitelly need help ! :slight_smile:

I found a solution.

But what not just saying that the smartgwt jar contains a NL properties file ?

I forced the locale of my module to NL.
