iPad dotted line appears when user selects

We’re evaluating SmartGWT EE using the iPad 2’s Safari browser (latest). When a user attempts to select and dragging any component that’s not draggable (e.g., a canvas, a stack bar etc.) and tries to drag using standard iPad techniques (ie., touching the compnoent and dragging it), a dotted line appears around the component and it almost looks like the dragging operation will occur. However, when the user removes his finger, the dotted line disappears and the component does not drag.

What I think should happen is that the user should NOT be presented with that dotted outline of the component – as it incorrectly implies that he can drag the component. Is this possible or is this a setting that we need to set that we overlooked? Some additional details are below:

OS: iPad 2
IDE: MyEclipse 9.0 with Google Plugin for Eclipse (2.3.1) (These are all the latest software as of today).
SmartGWT EE 2.4
Broswer: Safari (latest)
GWT SDK: 2.2 (since GWT SDK 2.3 has issues with SmartGWT EE 2.4)
Sun JDK 1.6.0_13

If it’s draggable with a desktop browser it’s draggable on the iPad. Other than that your post is way too vague to respond to - you need to indicate what kind of component, what drag settings, etc - ideally, show runnable code.
