Generated SQL query of Long float number and equals operator

Hello everybody,

I want to filter by a typed in number in a textbox using the “equals” operator, but the generated SQL query doesn’t match with numbers.

In the ds.xml file, the field is declared as type=“long”
I am using a FloatItem and the OperatorId.EQUALS

If I type in 3,
the generated SQL-Query is : COLUMN_NAME = ‘3’ instead of = 3

Am I missing a property or will it be fixed in the next nightly build ?

Thanks

Can you clarify two things please:

1 What’s the database in use here?
2 Is the criteria being sent to the server simple or advanced? Simple criteria are just plain key/value pair objects, whereas Advanced criteria are structured objects that declare _constructor: “AdvancedCriteria”

Thanks for response,

I am using Oracle 10 and it is Advanced Criteria.
Is this enough information for you?

Testing here, we see the issue you refer to, but the query returns the expected results anyway. The reason we test numeric columns against strings is that it allows us to offer substring filtering (so, filter where a given numeric field contains a 3, or ends in 75, or whatever). Obviously, we would not need to do this for a straight equality test, but it doesn’t appear to make a difference whether the SQL comparison value is quoted or unquoted.

So is this actually causing you a problem?
