This problems is for SmartClient 8.1/LGPL Development Only (built 2011-08-02) and applies to all browser versions we’ve tested.
We have a fairly complex screen with multiple list grids. Grid1 has it’s own data source while all the other grids share a separate data source. We allow dragging from Grid1 to any of the other grids and among the other grids themselves. Under version 8 all of this worked fine. Under 8.1, dragging from Grid1 to the other grids stopped working. It works visually on the screen and the recordDrop method fires, but the addData method on the data source never fires. This means the change on the screen is not reflected in the back-end data. Dragging between the other grids still works and fires the updateData method as expected.
We’ve looked at what we believe are the relevant changes between the two versions and haven’t found anything conclusive. Currently, the only solution is to manually fire the required methods from an override of the recordDrop method. Can anyone provide any information to help us understand what is happening and hopefully fix it?
