Hello Support,
I have built a sample application using a snapshot of code from the following Smart GWT Showcase example:
http://www.smartclient.com/smartgwt/showcase/#form_controls_various
My problem has to do with how combo boxes are being rendered in IE 8. The down arrow visual selector is misaligned with the text box of the control.
See attachments:
IE8-ComboBoxItem.png - illustrates the issue.
FireFox-ComboxItem.png - is the same code using FireFox (it looks fine)
IE8-Showcase.png - is the same showcase code (off your web site) using IE 8 (it also looks fine - which I find confusing).
The code fragement is below.
ComboBoxItem cbItem = new ComboBoxItem();
cbItem.setTitle("Select");
cbItem.setHint("<nobr>A simple combobox</nobr>");
cbItem.setType("comboBox");
cbItem.setValueMap("Cat", "Dog", "Giraffe", "Goat", "Marmoset", "Mouse");
Since your code appears to be working fine, can you suggest a way to correct my alignment issue?
Thanks.
